Emerging from personal introspection, each Troopertina functions as a symbolic reflection of healing and self-discovery. Subtle variations in posture and expression reveal emotional depth beneath a constructed exterior, inviting viewers into their own internal dialogue.

The work blends cultural references with personal narrative, using symbolism and repetition to question identity, protection, and performance. At its core, the series positions femininity as a dynamic and transformative force; one that challenges, heals, and redefines the self.

Welcome to My studio.
Camilo Martinez is a Colombian-American contemporary artist, Creative Director, and multidisciplinary designer based in Miami, Florida. With more than 20 years of experience across fine art, music, branding, and digital product design, his work bridges creativity, technology, and human connection.

His paintings blend pop surrealism with symbolism, exploring themes of identity, resilience, transformation, and emotional healing. Through recurring characters such as Joe Hueso and the Troopertinas, Camilo creates visual narratives that invite viewers to reflect on vulnerability, self-discovery, and the human experience.

Beyond the studio, Camilo has led creative and UX initiatives for global brands, designed digital products used by millions, and collaborated with businesses, collectors, and cultural organizations. This multidisciplinary background informs an artistic practice that combines conceptual depth with strong visual impact.

His work includes original paintings, mural commissions, custom artwork, creative collaborations, and workshops focused on self-expression through art.
