Tales of Joe Hueso follows the evolution of a symbolic character born from fracture, reinvention, and the search for meaning after collapse. Joe Hueso emerged as an alter ego through which Camilo Martinez began translating experiences of burnout, identity loss, grief, and recovery into visual narrative.
Each painting is a chapter in an evolving mythology, where recurring symbols, fractured figures, and surreal settings trace the passage through pain, self-recovery, and transformation. Through Joe Hueso, the work becomes both personal testimony and universal allegory.
