In December 2021, a fire destroyed the first Joe Hueso collection—works created from 2018 during burnout, when painting became my refuge from corporate life. After losing my job that October, the fire left me at ground zero. What survived became the foundation of Joe Hueso as a symbol of resilience, reinvention, and the value of rebuilding from loss.
